About the Bioterrorism Preparedness Program
The Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency Bioterrorism Preparedness Program is funded by two grants, the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Bioterrorism Preparedness grant and the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) National Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness grant.


Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Grant

The purpose of the CDC grant is to upgrade local public health jurisdictions’ preparedness for and response to biological, chemical, or nuclear terrorism and other public health threats and disasters.


Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Grant
The purpose of the HRSA grant it to ready hospitals and supporting health care systems to deliver coordinated and effective care to victims of biological, chemical, or nuclear terrorism and other public health disasters.
